Day 1: Arrival-Colombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka. Meet with your guide at the airport.Proceed to COLOMBO. Check in to hotel and have a rest. If time allows, have a short city tour. Colombo as the capital, largest city and main port of the island, is a unique city linking the old with the new and modern with the traditional. You will see Independence Square, Memorial BMICH conferences hall, Town hall, promenade Galle Face Green and local bustling Pettah Bazaar.Dinner and overnight.


Day 2: Anuradhapura-Habarana

Let‘s start your adventure. Proceed through beautiful tropical scenery around you, as well get to know local traffic that is really fascinating. Today you will discover history and beginning of Buddhism in island.Visit the first royal capital city – sacred city of ANURADHAPURA. Here you will see ruins and remains of ancient stupas and temples, palace, Citadela, Thuparamaya first stupa built in island, and in the middle of the city there is a probably the world‘s oldest tree- sacred tree Sri Maha Bodhi. UNESCO heritage.After trasnfer to hotel in HABARANA, dinner and overnight.


 Day 3: Sigiriya-Polonnaruwa

In the morning star with a bit of sport and climb 200 meters rising up citadel of unusual beauty, SIGIRIYA- The Lion Rock, The Rock Fortress, “The Eighth Wonder of the World”; follow the steps of King Kassapa; 1200 steps ahead; and at the end the best, top of the rock fortress with the spectacular view. UNESCO heritage.

Continue your way to the second royal capital city of POLONNURAWA; ruins are still in an excellent position; Royal Palace, Audience Hall, temples, lotus bath, and world-famous complex and “master piece” Gal Viharaya which has 4 splendid statues of Buddha ‘Upright’, ‘Sedentary’ and ‘Recumbent’ postures carved out of rock. UNESCO heritage.
Back to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Dambulla-Matale-Kandy

Today start with a talk inside Royal Botanical Garden; the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, variety of exotic flowers, trees and plants, royal palm-avenue, giant coconuts, huge bamboos, orchid house.

Then take a train through the most beautiful part of Sri Lanka. This train journey opens fascinating views of the picturesque scenery; hills and mountains all around, waterfalls, lush green tea plantations and tea pluckers. Few hours by typical train full of locals is a must thing to do. It says it is one of the most spectacular train journeys in the world. Arrive to Little England – NUWARA ELIYA with a strong hint to the British influence. Check in to your hotel, free program. Dinner and overnight.In the morning visit Golden Rock Temple in DAMBULLA, over 150 statues of Buddha and beautiful paintings, 14 meters Buddha statue carved out of the rock; UNESCO heritage.

Then, in MATALE visit magical spice garden; get to know different herbs and spices that Sri Lanka is famous for, the world’s best cinnamon; taste a herbal spice tea.On the way you will also see colorful Hindu Temple.

Arrive to the last royal capital city – KANDY; UNESCO heritage. Witness cultural show with traditional Kandyan dances, in the end also fire show. After show visit possibly the most sacred Buddhist shrine in the world – Sri Dalada Maligawa- The Tooth Relic Temple. After quite busy day transfer to your hotel, dinner and overnight.

 Day 5: Tea Plantations-Kandy

After breakfast start with a walk inside Royal Botanical Garden; the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, variety of exotic flowers, trees and plants, royal palm-avenue, giant coconuts, huge bamboos, orchid house.Then proceed to the most beautiful part of Sri Lanka. Green trees, hills and mountains all around, waterfalls, breath-taking landscape scenery, captivating scent of tea, tea plantations, tea pluckers, tea factory where you will get a chance to taste original Ceylon tea renowned throughout the world, find out the process from tea leaves to cup of tea. Back to KANDY. Leisure evening. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast transfer to chosen beach hotel for few days of relaxing.
