Day 1: Arrival-Anuradhapura

Welcome to Sri Lanka. Meet and great with your guide at the airport.
Proceed through beautiful tropical scenery around you, as well get to know local traffic that is really fascinating. On the way definitely stop for refreshing king coconut. After few hours, arrive to ANURADHAPURA, check in to hotel and spend leisure day. Dinner and overnight


Day 2: Mihintale-Anuradhapura-Habarana

Let‘s start your adventure with history and discover beginnings of buddhism in island.
As a first in the morning go for a little trek towards a peak of MIHINATALE; at this place was introduced one of the oldest philosophies, considered as a cradel of Buddhism in Sri Lanka; over 1800 steps towards the top with large white statue of sitting Buddha.

After visit the first royal ancient city – sacred city of ANURADHAPURA. Here you will see ruins and remains of ancient stupas and temples, palace, Citadela, Thuparamaya first stupa built in island, and in the middle of the city there is a probrably the worlds oldest tree- sacred tree Sri Maha Bodhi. UNESCO heritage. In the evening transfer to hotel in HABARANA. Dinner and overnight.


 Day 3: Sigiriya-Habarana

After breakfast start with a walk inside Royal Botanical Garden; the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, variety of exotic flowers, trees and plants, royal palm-avenue, giant coconuts, huge bamboos, orchid house; also cheerful monkeys and bats hanging from the trees.

Then proceed to the most beautiful part of Sri Lanka. Green trees, hills and mountains all around, waterfalls, breath-taking landscape scenery, captivating scent of tea, tea plantations, tea pluckers, tea factory where you will get a chance to taste original Ceylon tea renowned throughout the world, and find out how tea leaves end up as a cup of tea.Back to KANDY. In silk shop try on traditional Sri Lankan saree for women and sarong for men and pose on a family picture. In the evening visit possibly the most sacred Buddhist shrine in the world – Dalada Maligawa- The Tooth Relic Temple. Back to hotel, dinner and overnight. In the morning star with a bit of sport and climb 200 meters rising up citadel of unusual beauty, SIGIRIYA- The Lion Rock, The Rock Fortress, “The Eighth Wonder of the World”; follow the steps of King Kassapa; 1200 steps ahead; and at the end the best, top of the rock fortress with the spectacular view. UNESCO heritage.

Then experience real Sri Lankan rural life with all its authenticity; includes cow cart ride between green paddy fields, canoeing on the lake, visiting local farmer’s house; demonstration of cooking traditional island meal – rice and curry with tasting, served on banana leaves, eating by hands, real fun; in the end crazy tuk tuk rides.

Back to hotel, resting by the pool side. In the evening you can go for traditional Ayurveda massages (optional). Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Dambulla-Matale-Kandy

In the morning visit Golden Rock Temple in DAMBULLA, over 150 statues of Buddha and beautiful paintings, 14 meters Buddha statue carved out of the rock; UNESCO heritage. Then, in MATALE visit magical spice garden; get to know different herbs and spices that Sri Lanka is famous for; the world’s best cinnamon; taste a herbal spice tea. On the way you will also see colorful Hindu Temple.

Arrive to the last royal capital city – KANDY; UNESCO heritage. In the silk shop try on traditional Sri Lankan saree for women and sarong for men and take pictures. In the evening witness cultural show with traditional Kandyan dances, in the end also fire show. After show visit possibly the most sacred Buddhist shrine in the world – Sri Dalada Maligawa- The Tooth Relic Temple.
After quite busy day transfer to your hotel, dinner and overnight.

 Day 5: Kandy-Tea Plantations-Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast start with a walk inside Royal Botanical Garden; the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, variety of exotic flowers, trees and plants, royal palm-avenue, giant coconuts, huge bamboos, orchid house.Then proceed to the most beautiful part of Sri Lanka. Green trees, hills and mountains all around, waterfalls, breath-taking landscape scenery, captivating scent of tea, tea plantations, tea pluckers, tea factory where you will get a chance to taste original Ceylon tea renowned throughout the world, vegetable fields and so-called Little England- NUWARA ELIYA with a strong hint of British influence. Check in to hotel, leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Scenic Train Ride-Ella

In the morning take a train to ELLA. The train journey opens fascinating views of the picturesque scenery of the countryside, lush green tea plantations, hills and valleys. Open the window, breathe fresh air and make beautiful pictures. It says it is one of the most spectacular train journeys in the world. Arrive to magical town of ELLA, check in to hotel. Leisure day. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Ella & Around

In the morning follow the footsteps of one of the most famous personalities of tea history – Sir Thomas Lipton, Scottish Tea Baron; visit his Dambatenna tea factory, a walk from the factory leads up through tea gardens to the superb view point known as Lipton’s Seat.

Back to Ella; idyllic little village that is probably one of the Sri Lanka’s best kept secrets that offers plenty to keep you fascinated; cooler climate, hiking adventures to explore some of nature’s wonders, such as Little Adam’s Peak, Rawana Ella Falls, Nine Arch Bridge – famous railway loop; enjoy beautiful nature, scenery, rolling green tea plantations and stunning views.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Yala National Park-Tissamaharama

In the morning proceed from hills and mountains slowly down towards countryside full of paddy fields and valleys. In the afternoon experience jeep safari adventure in YALA NATIONAL PARK; the second largest park and the most famous park on the island; amazing variety of flora and most varied collection of wildlife such as wild elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, monkeys, buffaloes, gorgeous birdlife, and if you are lucky enough, you might spot the top attraction of the park – leopards. Transfer to TISSAMAHARAMA, check in hotel, resting evening. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Galle-Beach Stay

After breakfast proceed along the coast; in the small village KIRINDA, on the top of a rocky outcrop, stands the Buddhist shrine Kirinda Raja Maha Viharaya that is dedicated to Queen Viharamhadevi who is the heart of the famous local legend.

Arrive to GALLE, a magical sea side town, that retains an atmospheric piece of time-warped island history with the Dutch Fort, variety of churches, mosques, lighthouse, galleries, villas, shops and finest cafes; the most perfectly preserved colonial town in Sri Lanka; UNESCO heritage. And finally transfer to beach hotel of your choice and spend few days at leisure.
